While hiking in Harford Co, MD, I found this withered tree that still had so much if it's soul left in it that I couldn't ignore it.

"I wonder about the trees..."

there's this small footbridge on the trail that lead to a covered bridge that this tree seems to be guarding. He seems to be bending over to observe the people entering his world- it's very otherworldy. That whole forest has a old feel to it, like you're being allowed to pass through and nothing more.

Sweet, you capture it with such nice detail and richness..thanks for adding me to your friends, ill be adding you too..

Intense photo, it's so alive! The forest is alive! Makes me feel as if I can just step into it and continue walking a short time and I will arrive home at last. Ahhhhhh.

I love the way you describe this tree's personality, his guardianship of the forest ... ^ ^

Waya Askin'?

A child who cries at the coffin of his father is only mature when he has lived long enough to cry at the coffin of his son. Never was a boy crucified, but that the weeping Father always found the nail-prints in his own hands.

thank you!

I appriciate the favorties add...:)

The woods around here do have that feel about them- there's so much life in the forest. It's overwhelming when you live surrounded by concrete!
:iconwayatalitawadi:
Ohhhh, truly :( Concrete, Plthththtttt!

You are very welcome . . . I will come back soon ~ I need a "forest fix", LOL
