So, I go to scan my black and white shots I took in Florida and find that my lab completely ignored my push instructions. Some of the shots seem to be savable, but come on- it's not like I'm going to jet back down to Florida any time soon. A little attention to detail would have been nice. Bastards.

Thank god it's a hobby and not something I am getting paid on.

Moving on...

I've wanted to develop my own film for a while. At least the black and white. I've felt that my film isn't being handled the best it can be and I want to learn how to do just that.

Luckily for me, there are a few of you fine folks that know how to do it! I need your help!

This article. Good? Bad? Other? What do I need to know other than this is a learned skill and I will suck at it when I first start? I don't plan on printing as of yet (the semantics of that are overwhelming right now...), just developing.

Bastards. *grr*

So far I have about a foot and a half of snow.

The storm we're getting right now is a slow mover and is now just spinning relentlessly over Maryland; we're due for another 6 inches! That's an insane amount of snow for this area and for this time of year. If you told me that I would be making posts like this when I was growing up in California, I would have called you nuts! But, for all the cold and the shoveling and the bad drivers, I wouldn't trade it. Seasons are fun





I can't wait to get out there and photograph it tomorrow! It's so light and fluffy; if I were a skier I'd be packing my gear! It should make for some interesting maneuvering tomorrow...

Yesterday I excitedly bought both 120 and 135 film so I could spend the weekend photographing the impending doom big freaking snowstorm that's coming through the area! I spent my free moments pondering where I would go to photograph the snow at it's best while staying close to home (2 feet of snow by tonight!). So what do I do?

I twist my left ankle. On a marble-sized pebble. I cannot freaking believe it.

I will not be stopped. I have a chair, a tripod and a balcony. There will be photography, dammit.

*shakes fist*

I just created #medium-large for medium and large format photographers! Huzzah! Let's see how successful I can make it!

1) I can use CSS under the influence.

2) I'm... chemically befuddled for the first time since last Christmas and I love it. Screw adulthood.





Ok 3 things: I dropped off some film yesterday that will hopefully portray some nice fall foliage. As I used said film under the influence of some hardcore meds*, we'll see if things turn out.




*I was diagnosed with both strep AND an upper respiratory tract infection this past week. The medicine you get with such things is just wonderful, I assure you. Yes, it's just as much fun as it sounds.
